Making Pandora and Trollbeads Style Glass Charms

Here is a new video of Doug making a European glass bead charm. This bead is a simple bead, but it will give you the basic idea of how a glass charm is crafted in the flame. It's kind of relaxing watching the bead take shape, a bit like an artist painting a painting.

Later, after the glass bead is annealed in our kiln, the bead is put through the process of adding a silver core. Doug carefully crafts each core with care. Every silver core is made from a single piece of 925 sterling silver.

A Charming Glass Charm!


We often receive requests for a certain color or style from our customers. Many of them are looking for a glass charm that will be different than all the rest. One of our customers asked us if we could design a special bead for a birthday gift. Her friend loved the traditional china made in cobalt blues and white. Tea Cup Charm was born from this request and is one of our newest patterns.

The Tea Cup Charm can be ordered in either the Trollbeads or Pandora style. It was inspired by the beautiful china patterns such as Blue Willow. It's a playful glass charm version of a classic color combination of cobalt blue and white.

A Beautiful Glass Charm!

Lately, I've noticed that our animal style glass charms are very popular. Our customers seem to really enjoy Doug's Leopard Spots, Tiger, and this bead in the photo, a Zebra Marble. I really enjoy these also since they are so unique.

The Zebra Marble glass charm is in our Custom Order part of our store. It can be made either to fit a Pandora or Trollbeads bracelet or necklace. If you are not familiar with our custom order beads, then please read on and I'll explain how it works.

You simply pick the beads you want and before you put the bead in your “shopping bag,” just click in the box at the top of the page to choose which style you would like to have it made in, either for Pandora or Trollbeads. Doug makes these beads to have a core that is smaller for the Trollbeads chains and a little larger for the Pandora chains. He's quite accurate and you will find that his glass beads are a perfect fit.

The Zebra Marble is crafted from Italian glass. It a style that is very eye-catching, with it's black background and a bold zebra pattern on top. Glass beads like this one, will add individuality to your Pandora or Trollbeads jewelry.
